The Admissions Counselor assists in the recruitment, evaluation,selection and enrolling of candidates to Penn's Schools. Serves asa speaker in a range of forums with prospective students, parents,secondary school counselors and Penn Alumni; manages phone andemail inquiries; work with the Enrollment Team to review and recommend applicants to Penn's undergraduate schools and programs from a given region and territory. The Admissions Counselor has responsibility to work as part of a team to achieve the institution's goals in enrolling a class of highly accomplishedstudents from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, throughfostering intentional equity and collective care while engaging with students, families, and the review of applications.

• Participate in the annual comprehensive evaluation and selection process for both first-year and transfer students.
• Support office-wide programs and projects, as assigned, tosupport the work of Penn Admissions.
• Frequently support the Admissions Visit Center and Client Carein daily staffing, welcoming visitors, supporting daily virtual orin-person programming, and handling inquiries via phone, email, orin-person.
• Manage a geographic territory to identify, recruit, and yieldcandidates. Lead a variety of virtual and in-person recruitment activities, including evening and/or weekend programs, school visits, college fairs, and regional alumni programs. Engage in 1-3weeks of recruitment travel.

• Bachelor of Arts and 1 to 2 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Demonstrated project management skills plus the ability tobalance an individual schedule with multiple organizationalcalendars/schedules within a high-volume and timeline drivenprocess.
• Dynamic written communication, customer service, public speaking, teamwork, and collaboration skills are required.
• Volunteer, leadership, or professional experience in higher education, college counseling, managing volunteers, or familiarity with evaluating applications are appreciated, as is experience working with populations that are underrepresented in higher education.
• The job requires a valid driver's license and the ability towork nights and weekends.
