Duties
* You will be responsible for the administrative and technical management of all branch programs, activities, and resources.
* You will be accountable for planning, directing, technically managing, and executing the programs and operations of the branch ensuring that quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met.
* You will supervise personnel, delegate work to subordinates, and direct work efforts in the branch.
* You will apply software and systems engineering practices, the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) and the Systems Engineering Process. Requirements Conditions of employment

and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR . Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band (GS-12/13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist developing and managing engineering project budgets; allocating and optimizing personnel, materials, and equipment to support engineering and maintenance activities; overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects; ensuring machinery control systems meet stringent performance and safety standards; collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to foster cooperative relationships and achieve project objectives;
identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues related to machinery control systems to maintain operational readiness and efficiency. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
