BR+A is seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer for our Philadelphia, PA office. This role will be responsible for designing Plumbing systems for a variety of projects and other tasks such as performing field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects, coordinating with other disciplines, overseeing deliverables to and from clients, and developing hydraulic calculations for systems.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • Experience in specification writing
  • Ability to develop calculations for Plumbing system sizing
  • Thorough knowledge of local Plumbing Codes
  • Understanding work planning and managing the design process to the available hours in the work plan
  • Ability to meet with clients and work with contractors
  • Taking ownership of assignments and working both independently and as part of the project team
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) License is a plus
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Plumbing design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Previous experience in designing Healthcare, Commercial, Higher Education or Laboratory projects
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proactive and collaborative team member who is strongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative
