Engineering Branch Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day group activities, maintain budget, and attain organizational goals.
• Provide engineering group priorities and direction, coordination and management of SSES Engineering program/procedure requirements.
• Approve technical products, maintain regulatory commitments, and resolve complex technical issues consistent with plant licensing and design bases.
• Plan work, schedule group resources, conduct employee development, and coordinate work groups to resolve technical, operational, and regulatory issues promptly and with quality.
• Ensure compliance with Technical Specifications, facility license, and station procedures, without compromising plant safety.
• Maintain engineering group product quality and productivity at a high level to support station operation.
• Coordinate assessments of Engineering process performance with industry best practices to improve engineering programs.
• Manage group budget and schedule.
• Interface and establish effective communication between groups to support delivery of quality products.
• Assign work activities, reinforce station standards, set and reinforce department standards, and monitor performance of assigned tasks.

• BS Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
• 7–8 years of responsible nuclear power plant experience.
• Knowledge of nuclear plant systems and interrelations, including training and certification programs.
• Preferred:
  Two years in a supervisory capacity.
