Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to manage, draft, negotiate, and execute supplier subcontracts for MEPPI TSD; including evaluation, qualification, selection, negotiation, costing and project management.
This position will report to the Transportation Systems Division Purchasing Section Manager and is a hybrid position in Warrendale, PA.
What You’ll Do- Manage supplier subcontracts through evaluation, qualification, selection, negotiation, costing and project management.
- Resolve commercial and technical supplier issues and actions serving as liaison between supplier and MEPPI.
- Create detailed supplier evaluation and risk analysis and present supplier recommendations to MEPPI management and stakeholders.
- Identify supplier capability gaps and create corresponding development and maturation plan to support MEPPI projects.
- Lead supply chain efforts for proposal teams. Create opportunity-specific sourcing strategy with MEPPI Program Management.
- Develop, negotiate, and author subcontracts for major equipment managing the technical exceptions and customer flow-downs.
- Manage subcontractor performance on existing subcontracts to ensure contract compliance; develop and enforce corrective actions/resolutions for contract issues.
- Monitor project cost performance and implement procurement strategies designed to reduce current and future project costs.
- Identify and track cost savings/overruns and facilitate resolution between engineering and subcontract supplier.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or related field and minimum 8 years’ experience managing large-scale subcontracts in transit environment or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced MS Excel modeling.
- Developed logical and critical thinking skills including the ability to develop, analyze and draw conclusions to problems requiring quantitative results.
- Advanced interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills within cross-cultural work environment.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office products ERP Systems (preferably Syteline).
