Position: Specialist - Hardware (Power Electronics) (SW&S)

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Power Electronics Engineer – Hardware Lead with deep expertise in Electric Vehicle systems to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of advanced power electronic hardware. This leadership role is pivotal in driving our EV propulsion systems, motor controllers, inverters, and high-voltage power converters, while building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and architect power electronic hardware design for EV applications including motor controllers, inverters, DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, and high-voltage systems.
  • Manage and mentor a team of power electronics engineers, providing technical guidance, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Drive hardware architecture decisions for motor controller systems, optimizing for efficiency, thermal performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Oversee end-to-end hardware development lifecycle: component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout review, prototyping, and validation.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262 ASIL-D), EMC/EMI requirements, and regional regulations (AIS-038, AIS-102).
  • Collaborate strategically with cross-functional leadership teams (software, mechanical, systems, testing) and external OEM/Tier-1 partners.
  • Lead hardware troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex field and production issues using advanced diagnostic methodologies.
  • Conduct technical reviews and approve designs, ensuring quality, manufacturability, and scalability for high-volume production.
  • Drive innovation in power electronics topologies, SiC/GaN technologies, and next-generation EV powertrain architectures.
  • Mentor junior engineers through hands-on training, design reviews, and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Contribute to proposal development
    , technical roadmaps, and customer presentations for new business opportunities.
