Role overview
Our client is seeking a senior leader to spearhead the growth of their water resources practice across Pennsylvania. This is a strategic role focused on market expansion, client development, and building a high‑performing technical team delivering complex water resources and hydraulic modelling projects. You will lead the regional strategy for water resources, driving revenue growth while acting as a senior technical advisor on key projects.
The role combines business development, team leadership, and project oversight, with a strong emphasis on expanding presence with state, municipal, and transportation clients.
- Develop and execute a growth strategy for water resources across Pennsylvania
- Lead client development efforts with public sector agencies, including utilities, municipalities, and water authorities
- Identify and secure major projects across H&H modelling, flood risk, stormwater management, watershed planning, and resilience
- Build and mentor a regional team of engineers and project managers
- Oversee delivery of complex projects, ensuring technical excellence and profitability
- Collaborate with leadership across adjacent practices such as water/wastewater and infrastructure
- Represent the firm at industry events, strengthening regional brand presence
- Drive recruitment of senior talent to support long term growth
- Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling for transportation and urban systems
- Floodplain mapping and flood resilience planning
- Stormwater management and green infrastructure
- Watershed and basin level studies
- Climate adaptation and risk mitigation
- 15+ years of experience in water resources engineering or related discipline
- Proven track record of winning work and growing a regional practice
- Strong relationships with Pennsylvania based clients and agencies
- Deep technical expertise in H&H modelling and water resources design
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large scale projects
- Professional Engineer licence required
- Strong commercial awareness and leadership capability
- Strategic leadership role with autonomy to shape regional growth
