Primary Purpose

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Ensures all personal, facility, and department safety standards are met. Operates, installs, and maintains components which make up the building as well as the buildings' electrical, heating, ventilation, overhead doors and other mechanical systems including their controls, but within the limits of his/her defined skill.

Must be able to analyze problems with equipment within his/her defined skills and make repairs and test for correct results with or without direct supervision.
Employees in this position may be required to work various shifts as determined by the work schedule.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of building structures and building systems equipment
Must communicate well with supervision, peers and clients
Must have ability to successfully complete testing associated with this position as a pre-requisite for employment
Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision and guidance
Must be available for emergency response callouts
Shift work may be required
Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) such as Maximo desirable
Computer skills
Valid Driver's license with ability to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle and maintain a Driver Qualification File
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol test(s), background check(s) and physicals
