Mechanical Engineer III
AECOM's Mechanical Engineering group is seeking a dynamic, talented Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment to be based out of our Philadelphia, PA location. Projects include transportation and aviation projects, including bus and transit facilities, airports, and related buildings.
Job DescriptionDesign the mechanical and/or plumbing systems from concept through construction across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation.
- Collaborates with architects, engineers, vendors and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Performs HVAC and/or plumbing calculations.
- Prepares and deliver high-quality drawings (AutoCAD and Revit), construction documents, specifications and reports.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
- Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards and client requirements.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations and drawings.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Conducts site visits to document and evaluate mechanical and/or plumbing systems.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS +4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within one year.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience with Building HVAC and/or Plumbing design.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of related HVAC and/or Plumbing engineering experience.
- AutoCAD and Revit professional experience.
- Experience as a lead engineer on project design.
- Relocation assistance is available.
