To provide design and testing of Avionics and Electrical Installations on Leonardo products. This includes system design and the creation of test procedures / reports. Electrical design requirements include knowledge of wire routing, wire grouping, troubleshooting electrical system issues. Auto Cad, Capitol Logic, or similar tools for create wiring diagrams. Electrical Support of aircraft systems handling the design and engineering of avionics supplemental certificate Focus area will be Autopilot and various avionics systems No clearance required but would be a plus.
Develop, or modify, test procedures to ensure proper operation of the installed avionics and electrical systems and equipment. Witness and conduct any required testing to verify proper operation of the installed avionics/electrical equipment. Participate in project teams and all activities related to the development of new installations and modifications. Individual will be required to have experience with FAA Part 27 certification activities.
This individual will need to work with System Integration / Project Engineers, avionic and structural technicians, test and instrumentation engineers, flight test pilots, and FAA certification engineers.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is ideal, or relevant career experience. 6+ years, or equivalent, Avionics/Electrical systems design with equivalent avionics testing experience a plus. Experience in design, repair and analysis of electrical systems. Solid understanding of electronic circuit technology (analog and digital).
