Job Description:
Support NSWCPD, Department 20, Surface ship programs by providing configuration management, engineering change control, HM&E systems engineering, and design support. The role assists with ship modernization, acquisition, sustainment, and technical issue resolution across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Support configuration management and control system changes throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage and track Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Ship Change Documents (SCDs).
• Assist with developing ECPs, resolving design discrepancies, and supporting design reviews.
• Track HM&E equipment, ISEA advisories and Naval messages, and maintain status reports.
• Provide ship hull, mechanical, electrical and control systems engineering support for ship acquisition, modernization, and in-service efforts.
• Contribute to engineering studies, risk analyses, and system performance evaluations.
• Provide on-site support to ship design teams, helping resolve technical issues and review test procedures and proposed ship changes.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- 7 years professional experience in engineering support for U.S. Navy HM&E shipboard systems. Experience in the development and deployment of relevant, innovative technologies that improve ship operational profile, cost and performance.
Degree Requirements:
- Master's level degree in any engineering discipline.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- A secret security clearance
