Mechanical Engineer Position
Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The candidate will provide programmatic; administrative; engineering; technical; training; logistical; maintenance; installations/alterations;
Life Cycle Management; technical data management; catalog updating, and general systems, and equipment support for HM&E systems for the NSWCPD, specifically for the Auxiliary Machinery Systems Division.

- Provide in-service engineering for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC/R), Steam, Auxiliary, Combat Support, Life Support and Ventilation, and/or Compressed Air Systems
- Provide project management, programmatic, engineering/technical support, test procedure development, testing, and onsite coordination support for programs, including Machine Alterations (MACHALTs), engineering change proposals. and/or ship change documents (SCDs)
- Review preliminary designs, detail designs, and drawings;
Identify discrepancies between installation drawings, and actual vessel configuration; identify interferences - Provide market research, engineering support, and recommendations to resolve obsolescence, engineering deficiencies, and provide new capabilities to support technical concern
- Provide Ship system configuration, testing, training, support, troubleshooting, and assessments of HM&E systems
- Conduct pre- and post-installation ship checks to verify the accuracy of installation drawings
- Support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) development, certification packages for MACHALTs, and/or SCDs in accordance with the associated drawings, and instructions
- Document, manage, and ensure revision to ILS technical, and supply support documentation including APL's, Technical Manuals, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), and Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs), as identified during ship checks, and other system verifications.
- Develop and track Plan of Action, and Milestones (POAMs) for related programs and projects.
- Provide strategic planning and analysis of requirements to assist in developing a fully Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Actively participate in the NSWCPD System Engineering Program (SEP), which includes attending meetings; completing action items; participating on sub teams, and participating in training, and assessments. Provide support for Systems Engineering Plan tools and processes
- Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
- Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
- Two (2) years' experience providing project management, programmatic, engineering/technical support, test procedure development, testing, and onsite coordination support for NSWCPD.
- Two (2) years of experience in:
Navy Ship Auxiliary systems, including distributed machinery - Control systems and software;
Auxiliary Fuel, and Lube Oil systems;
Auxiliary Pumps, and Smart Valves;
Auxiliary Machinery, and the testing of these systems - Knowledge of NSWCPD System Engineering Program (SEP), Alterations (MACHALTs), engineering change proposals, and/or ship change documents (SCDs) processes
- Experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) development and obsolescence management
- Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
- Ability to work on and climb ladders, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
