MEPS Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Manufacturing / Data Center Construction
Turner & Townsend are looking for an experienced MEPS Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to act as the key day-to-day client interface, ensuring client objectives are achieved through the delivery of value-added cost management services across advanced manufacturing, industrial, and mission-critical data center projects.
Responsibilities include estimating and negotiating change orders, preparing and presenting cost plans, partnering with design teams, reviewing and reconciling cost changes, meeting with clients and project teams, coordinating cost information, supporting engineering and design decisions, proactively identifying and resolving cost challenges, performing cost checks and valuations, managing post-contract cost variances, maintaining tracking logs, preparing funding presentations, developing cost plans, providing commercial input, reviewing contractor pricing, performing quantity surveying, managing cost audits, producing monthly cost reports, supporting final account negotiations, compiling cost data, identifying and mentoring talent, demonstrating leadership, utilizing internal systems, implementing delivery methodologies, adhering to controls, fostering a collaborative culture, and serving as a role model.
Project/program specifications include experience in data center construction, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, battery, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or large-scale industrial projects, supporting multi-billion-dollar capital programs, managing costs associated with MEPS systems, familiarity with mission-critical environments, and extensive experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and specialty systems estimates.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field, minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, RICS accreditation or active pursuit, experience leading cost management efforts, construction consultancy experience, strong knowledge of procurement strategies, cost planning, value management, value engineering, and construction delivery methodologies, extensive experience with MEPS systems, process utilities, and critical infrastructure, and excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
