Job Description
You will be responsible for performing, integrating, and managing key projects in the Division's In Service Engineering, and Life Cycle Management efforts, and integrating the Test and Evaluation, and Research and Development.
You will plan, formulate, organize and direct extensive technical activities to meet the Navy's requirements for systems, equipment, development and in-service engineering programs concerning Main Reduction Gears and associated components.
You will advise on establishing direction and providing technical management of all aspects of special projects, and the development and implementation of technology and related initiatives.
You will propose, plan, direct, and manage a wide range of projects for the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of gear equipment and systems.
You will conduct and manage investigative and/or test efforts intended to advance state-of-the-art or improve operation and maintenance processes in order to improve gear life cycle.
You will study and investigate present and future performance requirements of cognizant equipment and systems in order to improve the performance of gears and related equipment.
You will plan, manage, and conduct specific facility and/or field experiments, analyze and interpret test results and data, and justify all recommendations for further research.
