In the role of Groundwater Modeler/Hydrogeologist we'll count on you to:

• Work under more-senior modelers, using prescribed methods in various data analysis and modeling assignments as part of groundwater and contaminant fate and transport modeling projects.
• Evaluate groundwater movement, contaminant fate and transport, groundwater supplies, and land subsidence due to over withdrawal of groundwater.
• Acquire, organize and analyze environmental data.
• Set up and execute mathematical models.
• Perform quality-control checks on model input and results.
• Participate in project meetings, proposal preparation, report writing and presentations.
• Develop statistical and graphical comparisons of model results and data.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in hydrogeology or environmental engineering (with a focus on groundwater modeling or hydrogeologic processes) preferred.
• Experience conducting groundwater modeling, working with modeling programs like MODFLOW, MODPATH, MT3
  
  DMS and model processing software such as GMS or Groundwater Vistas required, however, would consider strong candidate with a directly relevant Masters with required experience in modeling programs and mathematical software with academic related experience in modeling.
• Experience with mathematical software such as Python, Mat Lab and R.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including a thorough understanding of hydrogeological processes and principles.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Candidates who reside locally in the Philadelphia area are preferred.
• Previous field experience collecting groundwater data preferred.
• OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification are a plus.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering/science, oceanography or closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
