We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Fiduciary to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in Philadelphia, PA.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Administer and advise on the interpretation of key provisions and duties of BNY as trustee, ensuring adherence to the highest fiduciary standards for multi-generational families.
- Coordinate strategic plans to manage and grow existing client relationships with a strong focus on risk management and compliance.
- Interpret governing trust documents and collaborate with internal partners and external advisors, including clients, co-trustees, and beneficiaries.
- Evaluate and pursue new business opportunities, providing consultative advice to UHNW and HNW clients to achieve their strategic objectives through the firm's solutions.
- Oversee fiduciary administration tasks, including discretionary and non-discretionary request approvals, account maintenance, and charitable account management.
- Identify, assess, escalate, and address risk-related issues promptly to protect client interests and the firm's reputation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on fiduciary topics, policies, and procedures, supporting the Wealth Management team and mentoring less-experienced colleagues.
- Drive business development by leveraging client and center of influence relationships to generate self-sourced asset inflows and future fee appointments.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced or graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in fiduciary administration, including fiduciary taxation, with a proven track record managing large client relationships.
- Strong self-motivation with excellent interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively engage clients, prospects, and professional advisors.
- Professional certifications such as CTFA or CFP strongly preferred; additional complementary designations are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements with timely completion of compliance tasks.
- Experience mentoring and training team members; no direct reports but provides guidance to Lead Analysts as needed.
