$61,750 - $75,500
Tanager Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Loan Assistant to support our commercial lending team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring an exceptional lending experience by coordinating loan documentation, maintaining accurate loan files, monitoring follow-up requirements, and supporting borrowers, lenders, and internal partners throughout the loan process. Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and coordinate loan documentation and follow-up items.
- Maintain complete and accurate loan files, including collateral, insurance, and financial statement tracking.
- Monitor documentation exceptions and resolve routine loan administration issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, lenders, and third parties regarding loan documentation.
- Support commercial, real estate, and portfolio loan administration activities.
- Coordinate documentation and loan closings with lenders, Credit Administration, and Loan Operations.
- Prepare reports and assist with portfolio monitoring and documentation.
- Support audits, examinations, and loan review requests.
- Assist in training Loan Assistant I team members.
- Maintain compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and lending procedures.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–4 years of banking, loan administration, credit, or lending support experience.
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation and follow-up requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate documentation and resolve exceptions independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred
- Associate's degree or coursework in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with commercial or real estate loan documentation.
- Experience with core banking, loan, and imaging systems.
- Previous experience supporting commercial lending teams.
