Sr. Director, Finance-Xumo

Xumo, a joint venture between Comcast and Charter Communications, was formed to develop and offer a next-generation streaming platform for the entire entertainment industry. The company consists of three primary lines of business:
Xumo devices, Xumo Play, and Xumo Enterprise. Powered by Comcast’s global entertainment platform, Xumo devices feature a world-class user interface with universal voice search capabilities, making it easy for consumers to find and enjoy their favorite streaming content. Xumo Play is a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service offering hundreds of linear channels and on-demand options. Xumo Enterprise provides tools and services for content creators, distributors, and advertisers to make FAST content more accessible.

Job Summary This role leads a team of finance professionals and serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, providing financial leadership, insights, and guidance to support key business decisions and long-term growth objectives. The position is responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and investment analysis while evaluating business opportunities, commercial initiatives, and resource allocation decisions to optimize financial and operational outcomes.

The role partners closely with leaders across Finance, Sales, Content, Product, and other cross-functional organizations to translate complex financial and business information into actionable recommendations that support growth, profitability, and strategic decision-making. The position provides thought leadership on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, investments, profitability, and business performance while identifying opportunities and risks through analysis of financial, economic, and market trends.

Additionally, the Senior Director develops and mentors a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and analytical rigor while ensuring financial insights are effectively integrated into business planning and execution.

Experience:

Experience with in the advertising industry or a related advertising-supported business environment.

Corporate finance experience within a large, complex organization, with a strong background in FP&A.Experience operating in a transformation environment, successfully navigating change, evolving business priorities, and periods of rapid growth.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment while providing strategic financial guidance to business and executive leaders.

Position is office based in Philadelphia, PA- 4 days a week in office & 1 day remote.

Responsibilities:

Leading a team of finance professionals to support organizational financial objectives and strategic business priorities

Refining budgeting and forecasting processes to enhance financial accuracy, decision-making, and business agility

Presenting and interpreting financial results, forecasts, and performance insights for executive leadership, providing strategic recommendations

Leading critical finance initiatives that support long-term growth, profitability, and operational performance

Evaluating business opportunities, investments, and commercial initiatives through financial analysis and decision support

Forecasting financial performance and assessing the potential impact of business decisions on the company's strategic direction

Collaborating with senior leaders across Sales, Content, Product, and other business functions to integrate financial insights into business planning and decision-making

Mentoring finance staff, emphasizing analytical rigor, business partnership, and alignment with organizational objectives

Exercising sound financial judgment and making strategic recommendations within delegated authority to support business objectives

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
