Position Summary

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This role requires precision, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced oncology setting. The therapist will work collaboratively with physicians, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and fellow radiation therapists to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery.

Candidates must be flexible and able to work across multiple affiliated clinical locations as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with established protocols and safety standards

Accurately position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment

Perform and assist with CT simulation procedures (CT/SIMS experience preferred)

Verify treatment parameters and ensure correct dosage delivery

Monitor patients during treatment and report any changes in condition

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control standards

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes

Participate in quality assurance and equipment checks

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy

Experience in Proton Therapy and/or CT Simulation preferred

ARRT (Radiation Therapy) Certification required

Current Allied Health License/Certification as applicable

Current BLS certification

Strong technical skills and attention to detail

Ability to work flexible shifts within operating hours

Training & Orientation

Paired with an experienced Radiation Therapist

Training provided on one treatment machine
