Description:
• We are seeking an Addictions Counselor for a contract position in Philadelphia, PA.
• This role involves working onsite, Monday through Friday, with flexible start times.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in addiction treatment, including treatment planning and crisis intervention.
Requirements:
• Experience with addictions, including treatment planning and assessments.
• Proficiency in documenting client progress and handling crisis situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a treatment team.
• Strong communication and ethical conduct skills.
• Experience with case management and client-focused care.
• Familiarity with crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
• Must hold the required credentials for the role.
Qualifications:
• Master's, Bachelor's, or Associate's degree in a related field such as chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or counseling.
• Certification such as PCACB, CAAC, CADC, or CAADC preferred.
• Bachelor's degree holders must have one year of clinical experience in a health or human service agency.
• Associate's degree holders require three years of experience.
• Practicum or work experience in a drug and alcohol setting is preferred.
• Plan for achieving counseling competency if lacking specific experience in chemical dependency.
