Responsibilities

  • Partner with R&D scientists, product managers, and technical teams to analyze laboratory workflows and translate them into business and functional requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for laboratory systems supporting experimental design, data capture, and analysis.
  • Use agile product ways of working to develop and maintain user stories, functional specifications, and process documentation aligned with product roadmaps and scientific needs.
  • Support implementation, configuration, and lifecycle management of laboratory systems and related R&D informatics platforms.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal engineering teams on enhancements, integrations, and system upgrades.
  • Ensure laboratory data is captured, stored, and retrieved to support scientific reproducibility and downstream analysis.
  • Translate scientific and business needs into product requirements.
  • Partner with Quality for system validation, change control, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Create and maintain SOPs and validation documentation.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for R&D users; gather feedback and identify workflow improvements.
  • Support user onboarding, training, and adoption of new features/platforms.
  • Monitor system usage and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years as an IT Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of GxP regulations for R&D IT systems.
  • Ability to translate scientific workflows into technical/product requirements.
Preferred
  • Background in pharmaceutical/biotech/life sciences R&D.
  • Familiarity with regulated SaaS in pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Agile/product-centric IT experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations for laboratory information systems in pharmaceutical R&D.
