Service Now Developer

We are seeking a Service Now Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Service Now, including core system configuration, development, and maintenance of the Service Now platform. The role involves supporting day-to-day user requests, troubleshooting, and enhancing the Service Now service catalog, along with building solutions and processes in collaboration with key business units. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service and teamwork abilities, good organizational skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Service Now applications and systems.
  • Optimize existing service catalog offerings and develop new ones with a focus on continual improvement and automation.
  • Utilize Flow Designer to enhance the service catalog and transition from legacy workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance on workflows for increased efficiency and automation.
  • Participate in Service Now upgrade cycles, including testing through the Automated Test Framework.
  • Support the design and implementation of custom catalog items, working with business partners and product managers.
  • Stay current on Service Now upgrades, enhancements, and new features.
  • Develop knowledge base articles to address user issues proactively.
  • Integrate tools such as SCCM, Meraki, and Crowd Strike into Service Now for asset management.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    Minimum 4 years of experience as a Service Now Admin or application owner.
  • Experience configuring core Service Now modules (Service Catalog, Asset, SAMP, IRM, Discovery, Service Mapping).
  • Knowledge of Service Now app engine and experience in developing and supporting custom applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Service Catalog and Service Portal modules.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Service Now System Admin Certification.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with Advanced scripting, Performance Analytics, and Reporting.
  • Experience with Flow Designer, Work spaces, and UI Designer.
  • Ability to draft and document test plans for both technical and business users.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist.
  • Service Now Certified Application Developer.
  • Certifications:

    Service Now System Admin Certification (required). Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (a plus). Service Now Certified Application Developer (a plus). ITIL Certification (highly desirable).
