MES Solution Architect

OverviewThe MES Solution Architect will be part of AVEVA's North America project delivery services group, delivering world‑class Manufacturing Execution Systems and Manufacturing Operations Management solutions based on Model Driven MES principles. The role involves working with multinational manufacturing customers across diverse industries including Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, Discrete Manufacturing, Specialty Chemicals, Metals, Building Products, and Life Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Lead customer‑facing project activities, gathering requirements, converting them into system designs, managing project schedules, and guiding the project team to ensure timely completion of technical deliverables.
- Apply AVEVA Model Driven MES to solve customer issues, help customers achieve their business objectives, and provide value through continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Interview customers, translate requirements into formal specifications, and enforce technical and project execution best practices.
- Identify required software system and infrastructure architecture designs, develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures, and manage geographically distributed project teams.
- Manage project source code, release management, and project documentation.
- Author system acceptance test criteria, conduct unit and system testing per the test plan, and manage development, quality, and production environments.
- Travel up to 25% to customer sites for requirements, design, training workshops, and implementation activities.
- Contribute to the growth of MES expertise, including advanced analytics and AI/ML requirements within manufacturing.
• 7–10 years of experience building MES solutions with at least 3 years of leadership in multi‑site MES project implementations.
• Full software development life cycle experience and a degree in Engineering (Computer Science or Information Technology preferred).

- Reports & Analytics (SQL Server Reporting Services or Power BI)
