Director, Forecasting - US Vaccines
In this position you will establish and maintain forecasts for defined brands and products using industry-best practices and industry-standard tools for enhanced efficiency, reliability, and governance, in close collaboration with Finance, Market Intelligence, and other functions. This role requires strong quantitative/financial modelling skills, sound methodological and conceptual understanding, and experience translating complex market and business dynamics into decision-grade scenarios and recommendations.
The incumbent will be expected to communicate, influence, and drive alignment with US senior leadership on the full US Vaccines forecast, including a clear point of view on the commercial business model, value drivers, key risks/opportunities, and strategic assumptions underpinning the forecast.
The Director will collaborate and partner effectively with various stakeholders across the local and global enterprise, including Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Sales, Finance, Supply, Market Access, and Technology teams—leading through the matrix to define shared outcomes, clarify decision rights, and drive timely, high-conviction decisions through trust, accountability, and follow-through.
The role is responsible for but not limited to the following.
- Set forecasting strategy by defining value drivers, anticipating market dynamics, and recommending trade-offs across near- and long-term horizons. Translate analytics into concise decision stories (insight → options → recommendation → implications) and drive alignment across stakeholders
- Own USC Forecast/Latest Estimate, Long-Range Forecast, and Consensus/Commercial forecasts; establish governance, version control, and decision timelines aligned to the Core Commercial Cycle (CCC)
- Maintain SKU-level forecasts across the portfolio (incl. Puerto Rico), integrating cross-functional inputs and external market/competitive/policy signals
- Lead monthly LE and CERPS loads; surface risks, opportunities, decision points, and trade-offs; support submissions and earnings processes with executive-ready driver narratives
- Drive forecast quality using accuracy/bias metrics; diagnose drivers, lead corrective actions, and document assumptions/risks for transparent, audit-ready traceability
- Deliver brand, therapeutic area, and environmental insights that inform performance, resourcing, and investment decisions
- Lead launch projections; build decision-grade scenarios and sensitivities across key drivers (e.g., capacity and market access)
- Track policy/regulatory and competitive changes; quantify forecast impacts; partner with Market Access and Legal/Compliance on compliant strategies and mitigations
- Partner within Finance & Marketing Mix Analytics to model, visualize, and pressure-test scenarios; coach others on interpretation and limitations
- Lead and develop a small forecasting team; coach performance, standardize playbooks, and scale best practices
Why You?
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS
- 5+ years of professional experience, full-time employment, of which the most recent three years at GSK, in a peer company of GSK's, or in a management consulting firm, with focus on Forecasting, Finance, Competitive Intelligence or Analytics roles in the Bio Pharm industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with GSK U.S. Pharma's therapeutic areas of commercialization
- Graduate degree in Business (MBA), in Science (M.Sc) (incl. Statistics, Computer Sciences and Operations Research, or in Finance/ Economics (M. Econ.) or related.
- Methodological hands-on proficiency of relevant financial and analytical approaches and models
- Communication and presentation skills as evidenced through experience leading senior management presentations, conference presentations, and/or publications
- Experience driving process simplification and automation, with exposure to AI tools and a willingness to experiment—helping shape the future vision for connected, data-driven capabilities
- Experience with managing, coaching, and developing a direct report and leading through others.
- Proven and advanced collaboration skills, and cultural sensitivity.
