The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.

  • Independently or as a Team Leader, serves as a technical expert for Compliance Domain systems development and undertakes technically complex projects/studies requiring coordination across functional lines service-wide.
  • Develops or assists other developers with software applications for the PC/Server/Web portal environment, using languages and technologies such as Java, J2EE, XML, HTML, SOAP, SQL, DB2, Oracle, other object oriented language and/or other Web technologies. This includes understanding syntax, creating, compiling, executing, testing, and debugging programs, functions, and objects.
  • Is an expert senior technical advisor and Team Leader providing the full range of analytical and advisory support services, including the recommendation of programs and policies. Provides guidance and assistance on the entire range of technical issues, especially in development program areas.
  • Evaluates and interprets comprehensive systemic change requests and makes recommendations to management.
  • Plans, organizes, and/or leads corporate or large-scale studies, projects, or team efforts which include other subject matter specialists, and involves highly technical computer issues.
