Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer Azure Databricks with Unity Catalog with strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, Azure Platform Administration, Python, PySpark, and Hive Metastore. The ideal candidate will have advanced troubleshooting capabilities, strong technical documentation skills, and the ability to provide best-practice technical consultancy while managing multiple communication threads across technical teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support data solutions using Azure Databricks and Unity Catalog.
Manage and support Azure Platform Administration activities.
Develop scalable data processing solutions using Python and PySpark.
Work extensively with Hive Metastore and enterprise data platform environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and platform-related issues.
Provide technical best-practice guidance and consultancy to engineering and technical teams.
Manage multiple technical communication threads and initiatives in parallel.
Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to resolve platform and development challenges.
Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
Communicate technical solutions, issues, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain awareness of team structures, organizational dynamics, and project dependencies.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
Expert-level knowledge of Unity Catalog.
Strong experience with Azure Platform Administration.
Advanced programming experience using Python.
Strong hands-on development experience with PySpark.
Extensive experience with Hive Metastore.
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent technical documentation skills.
Experience providing technical best-practice consultancy.
Ability to manage multiple technical communication threads simultaneously.
Strong stakeholder management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Senior-level experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale Azure data platforms.
Experience working with cross-functional engineering and platform teams.
Strong understanding of enterprise data governance and data platform best practices.
Experience supporting complex Azure Databricks environments.
Ability to provide technical recommendations and platform optimization guidance.
