We're seeking a skilled Systems Consultant to support our mission-critical 911 systems in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, PA. This role is pivotal in maintaining the continuity and efficiency of our 911 services. You'll collaborate with stakeholders, manage vendors, and ensure our systems are at the forefront of technology.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day technical support and vendor management for 911 systems.
- Participate in regional and state meetings to stay updated on 911 technology developments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to set priorities for 911 technology projects.
- Develop and implement plans to upgrade existing systems and manage vendor relationships.
- Oversee testing, deployment, and maintenance of 911 systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness through IT initiatives.
- Forecast infrastructure costs and personnel needs for 911 operations.
- Assist with software and hardware deployment and problem resolution.
- Participate in after-hours incident resolution as needed.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical environment, with at least 5 years managing complex systems.
- Strong understanding of Computer Aided Dispatching and 911-related technologies.
- Knowledge of IT solution life cycles, networking, security, and architecture.
- Experience with disaster recovery, operating system management, and database technology.
- Experience with computerized system validation (CSV) strategies and standards.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
