SNOW UI​/UX Portal Designer

The Service Now Portal user interface designer shapes modern, intuitive, and accessible portal experiences, owning the design process from discovery through high-fidelity handoff. The designer produces site maps, user flows, wireframes, and polished visual designs that translate business goals, user research, and stakeholder input into clear, usable interfaces, and defines the patterns and components that keep the experience consistent across the portal.

Partnering closely with front-end developers, business analysts, and the platform team, the designer ensures every design is accessible, on-brand, and feasible within Service Now platform constraints, and stays engaged through build to protect design intent and resolve trade-offs.
Requirements:

• 10+ years of UI/UX design experience
• 5+ years’ experience in designing Service Now Service Portal or Employee Center Pro solutions.
• Expert in Figma, component libraries, prototyping, and design systems
• Strong knowledge of responsive and accessible design (WCAG 2.2 / Section 508)
• Experience facilitating discovery sessions and design workshops
• Ability to communicate design rationale to business and technical stakeholders
• Experience collaborating closely with Service Now developers throughout implementation
• Experience with Horizon Design System and Service Now design assets is highly preferred
• Exposure to AI-driven user experiences is a strong plus

Responsibilities:

• Lead discovery sessions and design workshops to gather requirements and establish user-centered design direction.
• Create information architecture, site maps, user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs.
• Design accessible, responsive portal experiences that align with WCAG 2.2, Section 508, and organizational branding standards.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, business analysts, and platform teams to ensure designs are technically feasible within Service Now platform constraints.
• Define and maintain reusable design patterns, component libraries, and design system standards for consistent portal experiences.
• Support implementation through development by reviewing deliverables, preserving design intent, and resolving design trade-offs.
