Wi-Fi Developer/QA Engineer

Manager notes:

• Must be able to work onsite Tuesday - Thursday in the Philly office at least first four months if can continue delivering can also come in once per week after this timeframe

Responsibilities:

• Dev QA - responsible for Wi-Fi functionality for residential and commercial customers
• Candidate with Networking/Wi-Fi background
• Someone with minimum networking and Wi-Fi background - should have beginner to intermediate level Wi-Fi knowledge; can be trained
• Someone willing to go in-depth with Wi-Fi; research oriented role working with developers to create solutions and deploy to customer
• Contribute to feature testing and feature research
• Wi-Fi experience with 11 AC
• Networking - CCNA level certification
• Needs experience Wireshark with Wi-Fi
• Well versed with routing switching layer 1 2 and 3 for Networking
• 3-5 years experience
• Wi-Fi experience must have - 11 a/b/g/n at a minimum or basic knowledge, how backend works. If 1-2 years of testing experience that is preferred, but if they can explain the concepts that would work as well

Interview process - 2 rounds; both technical; different panels

Job summary:

Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and more than 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Traffic Generators (iGen, Ixia Chariot, iPerf, etc.) Enhanced WiFi feature testing. Need for a product lead who has the ability to present and communicate test data (written and verbally) to exec level management.

Minimum qualifications:

excellent communication skills, ability to lead the projects and present them to upper level mgmt. Create test lab or customer environment for troubleshooting any issues that may occur in a lab or customer home. Understands the data/results and can interpret the data - communicate them well.
