American Heritage Credit Union, a $5+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Information Systems Support Specialist I. This position performs processing using Symitar functions and troubleshoots software and hardware problems for users.

REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:

Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for servicing members and staff while projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.

Maintain Byte Pro, PCFS, and Closer's Choice system databases, printers, and software.

Perform daily Symitar functions including ACH processing, share draft processing, Master Card processing, STAR processing. Set up all overnight processing.

Maintain Symitar system databases, printers and software.

Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.

Interview user to collect information about problem and lead user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of problem.

Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to technical staff.

Setup and perform the month-end process.

Maintain constant communication with STAR/Inter Pro system.

Set up and run computer-generated reports.

Maintain constant communication with third-party vendors (e.g. FIS, Interpro, Symitar).Maintain current hardware/servers (e.g. Online Teller, Vysym, Symitar).Create and maintain documentation.

Ability to work offsite or remotely without direct support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least two years of experience of troubleshooting PC issues involving hardware and software problems.

Experience with Microsoft products also required.

Requires education equivalent to two years of college or an Associate's degree in a computer related field, or equivalent work experience. Work requires advanced working knowledge of Symitar, MS Office, MS Project & Windows.

Work requires extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, particularly Microsoft and Symitar products. Requires judgment to apply broader aspects of established practices to situations, which go beyond clear, concise guidelines.

WORK HOURSFull time position - Must be available rotating evening and Saturday hours.
