Seeking a senior Enterprise Architect with a strong infrastructure and networking foundation who can operate across all IT domains, drive architectural governance, create technical standards, and lead complex enterprise initiatives from strategy through delivery. After speaking with the hiring manager, it became clear that this is not a traditional cloud-focused or application architecture role. The ideal candidate is a seasoned enterprise technologist with a strong infrastructure and networking foundation who can operate across all IT domains, including cloud, security, applications, integrations, and data.

The role is approximately 95% hands-off-keyboard and centers around architecture governance, documentation, solution reviews, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring projects are successfully delivered from concept through implementation. Rather than being the deepest technical expert in a single area, this individual must understand the fundamentals across the entire technology landscape, ask the right questions, work closely with principal engineers, and serve as the connective tissue between IT teams while maintaining architectural standards and guardrails throughout the project lifecycle.

Healthcare and Epic experience are helpful, but broad enterprise architecture experience, infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to drive complex initiatives to completion are the highest priorities. "They're looking for an experienced 'octopus architect' who has tentacles into every IT discipline, understands enough to challenge engineers and ask the right questions, but is not expected to be the person building or coding the solution."

Client is seeking an Enterprise Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise-wide technology solutions across infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, data, and clinical systems. This role will partner with business and IT leaders to define technology strategy, establish architecture standards, evaluate solutions, and ensure alignment with long-term organizational goals.

• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
• Lead architecture reviews and provide technical oversight for infrastructure, cloud, security, and data initiatives.
• Evaluate vendor solutions, proposals, SOWs, and technology investments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and clinical needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Drive governance and ensure alignment with enterprise technology strategy and best practices.

• Experience as an Enterprise Architect, Infrastructure Architect, Solutions Architect, or Principal Architect.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, virtualization, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), security, and data architecture.
• Experience reviewing architectural designs, leading governance discussions, and influencing technical decisions.
• Healthcare IT, HIPAA, Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, or clinical systems experience is highly preferred.
