Paralegal

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Defense Paralegal to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves supporting defense litigation matters at a prominent law firm in Center City. As this is a long-term contract position, it offers stability and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and organize documentation for various defense litigation matters, including construction defect and insurance defense.

- Support handling high-volume matters and assist attorneys with drafting pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.

- Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing time entries, and maintaining well-organized filing systems.

- Create and edit legal documents using tools like Adobe Acrobat and case management software.

- Handle billing functions and manage client communication efficiently.

- Maintain calendars and schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and workflow remains uninterrupted.

Requirements

- 2+ years of defense litigation experience

- Candidates with bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate are highly preferred, but not required.

- Experience with Adarent CMS and/or Imanage preferred.
