Demand Planner
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well-established organization in the Philadelphia area to identify a Demand Planner for a 6–9 month contract assignment. This position is covering a medical leave and offers the opportunity to step into a high-impact role supporting forecasting and supply chain operations.
The Demand Planner will play a key role in aligning demand forecasts with business needs, supporting inventory optimization, and partnering cross-functionally to drive data-driven decision-making.

Philadelphia, PA (19112) Job Type: Contract (6–9 months) Compensation: $46–$55/hour (based on experience)
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, trends, and business inputs
- Analyze forecast accuracy and identify risks and opportunities impacting demand
- Partner with supply chain, operations, procurement, and sales teams to align planning strategies
- Monitor inventory levels and demand trends to reduce stockouts and excess inventory
- Evaluate sales performance, seasonality, and customer behavior to inform planning decisions
- Generate reporting and dashboards related to forecast performance and inventory metrics
- Participate in weekly/monthly planning cycles and forecast review meetings
- Identify process improvements within demand planning and forecasting workflows
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
- Strong understanding of forecasting methods and inventory management
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Experience with ERP or demand planning systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate insights clearly
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer goods, or healthcare environments
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar systems
- Experience supporting S&OP or integrated planning processes
