While this position is primarily remote, local Philadelphia-area candidates are strongly preferred due to occasional required onsite engagement. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity. The ideal candidate brings 7-10 years of progressive project management experience and thrives in a consultative, fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify, define, and organize projects by establishing scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria
- Conduct needs assessments to ensure alignment with organizational and departmental priorities
- Identify key stakeholders and assemble appropriate cross-functional project teams
- Secure project approvals and define timelines, resource requirements, and financial commitments
- Develop comprehensive project documentation, including work breakdown structures, schedules, roles, and responsibilities
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions to align on goals, expectations, and outcomes
- Coordinate and synthesize complex customer input, ideas, and feedback
- Clearly communicate project objectives and plans to project teams and leadership
- Present project plans and updates to senior stakeholders and diverse audiences
- Lead projects from initiation through completion, tracking progress, managing dependencies, and mitigating risks
- Build strong working relationships across departments and functional teams
- Provide regular status updates to project sponsors, including milestone progress, risk assessments, and overall project health
- Proactively escalate issues and recommend corrective actions to maintain alignment with intended outcomes
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and organizational impact
- Document lessons learned and present findings to key stakeholders
- Ensure project results align with defined goals and value expectations
- Assemble, finalize, and archive all project documentation
- Advanced knowledge of PMBOK methodologies, including project charters, work plans, budgets, and productivity tools
- Intermediate knowledge of BABOK principles
- Intermediate knowledge of quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Advanced understanding of change management, organizational dynamics, and improvement frameworks
- Advanced risk management expertise
- Intermediate knowledge of healthcare and/or research operations and systems
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, time management, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations
- Demonstrated success collaborating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including without direct authority
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree preferre
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management, quality, or process improvement experience
- At least 3 years managing cross-functional teams
- 7+ years of project management, quality, or process improvement experience
- 7+ years of business analysis experience
- 3+ years in a healthcare or research-related environment
