About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Licensing Coordinator to work in the Philadelphia Corporate office. The Licensing Coordinator will be responsible for administering the entire licensed product approval process to ensure on time execution of new licensed product launches and compliance with all licensor approval requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in coordinating and managing the timelines, workflow, and milestone dates for all licensed items and programs to ensure deadlines are met and launch dates are on time. Coordinates and manages the timeline, workflow and milestones for all projects within the new product development team and the Art Department.
  • Submits all items for licensor approval via email/web portal/mail including concept images and physical samples and ensures all required steps of the approval process are met.
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with all licensors to help establish and maintain strong relationships and ensure an efficient approval process, including all internal and external (i.e., retailer-driven) deadlines related to all approval stages for product and packaging.
  • Ensures all approvals are granted prior to distribution to customers and communicated accordingly to all internal departments.
  • Collaborates with Licensing Team to initiate and establish line lists for new licenses
  • Creates and distributes Line List/Progress Report to Creative Department to be used as tracking tool for the development process and updates them as needed, ensuring at all times the internal tracker is up to date in light of all approval stages relative to all items in development.
  • Assists in directing the Creative Department on style guides (product and packaging) and legal/copyright lines.
  • Coordinates weekly meetings, as needed, with Licensing Team and Creative Department to establish priorities, provide updated status of approvals, review/provide art direction, and preview/plan for future license programs.
  • Coordinates the licensed mock-up request process between key National Accounts and the Art Department. Tracks status of all mock-up projects and communicates milestones and deadlines to relevant National Account Sales Team members.
  • Coordinates with Senior Licensing Manager and VP of Licensing to ensure all factories used for licensed production are formally approved and registered, as needed, with each licensing partner.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
  • Requires effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
  • Strong computer skills including intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Power Point, Excel and Word; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite/Photo Shop preferred.
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Analytical thinker with above average problem solving and follow-through skills required.
  • Must conduct business with the highest standard of ethics.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field required.
  • At least 1 year of related experience and/or training required; 2 or more years preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
