** Purpose and role of job:
** Leads maintenance efforts for the platform and drives improvement to machine health. Directs and trains all maintenance technicians engaged in the daily maintenance and up-keep of the machinery and or equipment.  Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
** Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
*** Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
* Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
* Oversees the repair of all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
* Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment to and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
* Operates all machines so that maintenance, changeovers, and adjustments can be tested when complete.
* Assists in the scheduling and planning of all corrective/preventive maintenance, lubrication, changeovers, and engineering trials on all equipment.
* Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
* Coordinates preventive/predictive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and takes corrective action promptly.
* Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
* Assists supervisor with all performance appraisals as required.
* Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.
* Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion.
* Shares on call responsibilities as needed.
* Provides coverage for vacations and absences as needed.
* Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.

* Education and experience requirements:

*** Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments.
* Highly advanced or specialized mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components.
* Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
* Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills.
* Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
* Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
* Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
* Ability to lead others through example, coaching, and development.
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum of three years of industrial experience or equivalent.
* Any technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics is preferred.
