OverviewOur client in food manufacturing is looking for a hands-on Senior Production Manager to add to their team in Bucks County, PA. You will lead daily execution across production, packaging, sanitation, and maintenance with a floor-first approach, aligning teams (supervisors and operators), ensuring product moves safely and on time, and serving as the primary point of accountability for daily plant performance.
Success in this role comes from strong floor presence, GMP execution, clear expectations, and tight coordination across departments. This is a visible leadership role in a stable operation with direct impact on output, safety, and team performance.
- Lead daily floor operations, coordinating across production, packaging, sanitation, and maintenance
- Oversee 30 employees, 5 supervisors; set expectations on performance, accountability and teamwork
- Conduct daily pre-production inspections for cleanliness and sanitation
- Maintain production schedules and ship orders on time
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMPs, and food safety expectations for an SQF-certified facility
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and workflow gaps and recommend practical process improvements
- Partner with maintenance and quality teams to address issues impacting safety, output, or flow
- Execute HACCP controls, enforce corrective actions, and support preventive controls
- Track labor use and packaging efficiency to boost productivity
- 5+ years of production operations experience in food manufacturing required
- 5+ years of management/leadership experience in food manufacturing required
- Working knowledge of FSMA/SQF and preventive controls in production operations required
- Mechanical aptitude, basic troubleshooting skills required
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, required
