Job SummaryThis role is responsible for sanding surfaces, light finishing duties as you prepare our products to move forward in the production process, small assembly tasks, and general wood fabricating.
Key Responsibilities:Sanding and Surface Preparation
- Sand wooden surfaces to achieve a smooth, even finish.
- Prepare surfaces for finishing by removing imperfections and ensuring proper adhesion of coatings.
- Operate and maintain sanding equipment and tools.
Basic Woodworking
- Perform basic woodworking and fabrication tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling wooden components.
- General assembly of smaller wood products.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Quality Control
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Identify and address any issues or defects in finished products.
Maintenance and Safety
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Proficiency in using sanding equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to perform basic woodworking tasks with precision.
- Familiarity and prior experience with sanding techniques and finishing products.
- Good communication skills and experience working independently to complete tasks.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
- Passion for honing your craft.
- High school equivalent or vocational training.
- The role may require standing for extended periods and working with various finishing products and tools.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
