Essential Job Functions- Inspect, measure and test products using electronic measuring equipment and microscope.
- Interpret test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
- Performs final acceptance testing in accordance with customer specifications.
- Connect and tune units using test equipment including signal generator, frequency meter, network analyzer, or spectrum analyzer.
- Read displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as: voltage, frequency, time delay, distortion, inductance, and capacitance.
- Compare results with specifications, and record test data or plot test results on graph.
- Analyze test results using engineering specifications.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, and quality.
- Train/mentor technicians.
- Confer with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems.
- Prep test equipment and set-up to evaluate performance and operation of nonstandard or customer-returned units.
- Prepare technical reports, summarize findings, and recommend solutions to technical problems.
- Test and troubleshoot with minimal supervision the functional performance of preamps, switch filter assemblies, microwave filters of all circuit typologies, subassemblies and parts under specified environmental conditions.
- Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Education:
associate degree or bachelor's Degree in electronics or related field or Military Electronics Experience - 3-5 years of experience in the Functional Testing and troubleshooting of RF devices OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with microelectronic products under a microscope.
- Experience with RF circuitry (amplifiers, mixers, integrated microwave assemblies) down to the component level.
- Skilled using O-scopes, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers
- Experience performing visual inspections.
- Able to do basic math in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Communicate effectively via teams/ email, strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience soldering (J-STD) and with electronics assembly process.
- Experience working with engineers.
- AS9100 experience
Work Environment:
Manufacturing Floor - Clean Room Environment
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit at work station/microscope 8+ hours per day
- Lift and/or move 25 pounds
- General vision abilities to include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
