Five Below Summer Internship Program - 2026

Five Below Summer Internship Program is ON! Our limited open positions for Summer 2026 focus on company strategic initiatives in the exciting environment of value-driven, fun-focused retail. We are seeking energetic, responsible go-getters with innovative ideas, ready to actively participate in company initiatives.

We LOVE our interns! Our internship is curated to deliver a rich learning experience for both personal and professional growth. Our program is hands-on, engaging in meaningful work that directly contributes to the company's missions and ultimate success. You are an active contributor and valued as a part of your team!

Location

Our alumni agree - we've got the magic balance of flexibility and immersion when our interns align with our HQ hybrid model. All applicants should plan to be in the Philadelphia area and have transportation/access to HQ (aka Wow Town) throughout the entirety of the program.

Internship Details

* 10 weeks:
June 1st
- August 7th

* Full time - 40 hours/wk

* Paid - $19.50/hr

* Hybrid model - Reporting into Wow Town Tues-Thurs

* Hands on, results driven projects. No coffee fetching here!

* Strategic Project focused, coupled with day-to-day responsibilities and development programming

Project Details

As Five Below continues to expand its toy assortment, we are seeking a trend-forward merchant who can identify and source the next "wow" item that will excite and inspire our customer. This role is responsible for building a compelling buy strategy that introduces new-to-Five Below products, grounded in a deep understanding of our core customer and emerging trends. The ideal candidate will anticipate what our customer wants before they know they want it-leveraging trend forecasting, competitive insights, and merchandise planning to curate an innovative and high-impact assortment.

Beyond product selection, this role will shape how these items come to life in-store and across marketing channels, developing clear storytelling and visual merchandising strategies that elevate the overall customer experience. Success requires strong cross-functional partnership with marketing, planning, visual merchandising, and operations teams to deliver a cohesive, executable product strategy. This is an opportunity to influence the full product lifecycle while gaining exposure to multiple areas of the business and helping drive the future growth of the toy category at Five Below.

Requirements

* Must be actively enrolled as rising Junior, Senior, Grad Student or recent Grad with a relevant background. Those studying under an associate's certificate or similar program may be considered if coursework and skills fit the individual project requirements.

* Minimum 3.0 GPA

* Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office products & remote meeting software

* Must be available for the full 10-week program as space is limited

* Must be a self-starter, highly passionate & detail oriented

* Active ability to problem solve & communicate effectively

* Knowledge and passion for our brand is a plus!

Desired Skills

* Degree area or experience in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing or similar

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent attention to detail

* Effective critical thinking, problem solving, and project management

* Demonstrated professionalism
