SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provides patients medications and fluids via intravenous injection, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The Registered Nurse assesses physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients and families. Provides patient education and monitors patients for side effects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
  • BLS required prior to orientation completion.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)
  • Bachelor or Science in Nursing preferred
