Position: Registered Nurse - South Mountain Restoration Center (2nd & 3rd Shift)

THE POSITION

South Mountain Restoration Center is seeking dedicated, caring, reliable Registered Nurses to provide care to our residents. This is an opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of the residents in our facility.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will plan, implement, and evaluate resident care based on standards of nursing, gerontological practice, and resident care, and provide professional nursing care and treatment services following state and federal regulatory guidelines for long‑term care. The facility is located near Michaux State Forest and is a Long‑Term Care Skilled Nursing Home operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Full‑time employment.

  • The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, and opportunities for career advancement.
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (2:45 PM–11:15 PM, 30‑minute lunch) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM, no lunch).
  • Rotating on‑and‑off duty days including weekends and holidays; includes every other weekend off.

    As needed.
  • Travel:
    As needed.
  • Shift work:
    No.
  • May change based on operational needs.
  • Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

  • Salary:
    Starting annual salary of $92,052.00 (before taxes) for newly hired candidates within Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • Employees with an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within one year per Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived.
  • Individuals within 60 days of graduating from an approved nursing school are eligible to apply; must present temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license at appointment.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Conditional offer requires satisfactory completion of medical examination and drug screening.
  • The position falls under the Older Adult Protective Services Act; criminal history clearance (PA State Police and FBI) required.
