Inpatient Registered Nurse at Geisinger with a hiring incentive of up to $26,000 for eligible candidates. Minimum hiring rate of $41.00, with higher rates for experienced nurses and up to $7 in shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

• Complete patient assessments per scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Formulate and coordinate plans of care, including patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Provide direct patient care with treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust plans based on patient response.
• Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary team for patient needs.
• Troubleshoot and correct equipment issues.
• Participate in unit-based decision-making and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Act as a team member focused on unit and organizational goals and metrics.
• Participate in patient quality and safety education programs and activities.

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Lifelong Basic Life Support Certification.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (state of Pennsylvania).
• Clinical, communication, interpersonal, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Preceptor skills preferred.
