The Registered Nurse is a licensed health care professional who provides skilled nursing care, administers IV therapy, and coordinates support services in patients' homes. The RN manages the nursing team and follows physician’s plans of care.
Responsibilities- Perform skilled nursing care during intermittent visits.
- Administer and monitor intravenous (IV) therapy, including starting IVs, accessing ports, and titrating IVIG and Remicade.
- Coordinate necessary support services and evaluate client care.
- Act as case manager, assessing, implementing, and coordinating patient care plans.
- Manage and supervise other nursing team members.
- Graduate of a state‑approved nursing school with a course in pharmacology.
- Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of two years of patient care experience.
- Reliable, independent transportation for home visits with valid driver’s license and adequate insurance.
- Previous experience with IV therapy.
- Experience starting IVs, accessing ports, monitoring IVs at home, and titrating IVIG and Remicade.
