Position
Part‑Time RN – 7pm–7:30am shift with every other weekend rotation.
About the FacilityThe Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119‑bed inpatient behavioral health facility with outpatient programs. The 52‑acre rural campus is located minutes outside State College in Central PA. The Meadows provides comprehensive care for patients from children to geriatrics.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for all patients on the Child, Adolescent, Stabilization, and Adult Units.
- Prescribe, coordinate, and delegate nursing care and oversee unit activities for each shift.
- Complete nursing assessments and document care and progress of patients each shift.
- Administer the Columbia Suicide Assessment on all new admissions and any patient with a change in suicide risk level.
- Facilitate medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
- Respond to crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
- Attend treatment team meetings to aid in the development of patient care plans.
- Oversee Mental Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses working on the unit.

- Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nursing license or temporary permit to practice.
- Genuine interest in psychiatric nursing.
- Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred, not required; on‑the‑job training provided.
