Cardiac Surgical Nurse - OR
This is a 13-week contract position.
Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend requirement:
On call, with 5 call shifts per month required.
The Cardiac Surgical Nurse is responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries. This includes scrubbing and circulating well within the operating room, specifically catering to cardiac procedures while being adaptable to other specialties, including General, Urology, and ENT as necessary.
- Scrub and circulate during cardiac surgeries, including CABGs, aortic and mitral valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs.
- Float to different surgical services as needed based on cardiac volume.
- Maintain staffing ratios of 1:2 during procedures.
- Document and chart patient information using the Epic system.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac surgery.
- Vascular and Thoracic surgery experience preferred.
- Current valid RN license and certifications as required.
- Ability to scrub and circulate in cardiac surgeries.
- Ability to respond to on-call shifts and assist as needed.
