Nurse Practitioner Opportunity
Temple's Psychiatry department is searching for a Nurse Practitioner to join the team. This role falls under the Temple Faculty Practice division.
Setting: Inpatient
Hours: Fulltime: M-F, 8 hrs. a day/ 40 hrs. a week
Location: Episcopal Campus: 100 E Lehigh Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125
Summary: Treats and evaluates patients; administers advanced nursing care in a particular clinical specialty area. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis, the prescription of medical therapeutics in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician. Contributes to a safe and therapeutic environment that is centered on the needs of the patients, caregivers and others demonstrating concern for the patient's privacy, comfort, and emotional state.
Treats patient with consideration to age, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic background, and culture in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing Required
Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program Required
Experience: 2 years experience as a nurse practitioner Preferred
1 year experience in a clinical specialty practice Preferred
1 year outpatient/ambulatory experience Preferred
General Experience in an EPIC environment Preferred
Licenses: PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner Required
PA Registered Nurse License Required
Prescriptive Authority Preferred
Basic Life Support Required
