Cardiac Operating Room Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) with an on-call weekend requirement (5 call shifts per month, days and hours vary).
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Operating Room Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to scrub and circulate in Cardiac surgeries and will float to other OR services as needed, depending on cardiac volume. The nurse will work closely with surgical teams to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, and LVADs.
- Float to other surgical services such as General, Urology, and ENT as necessary.
- Ensure staffing ratios of 1:2 are maintained.
- Participate in on-call shifts and respond to cardiac surgery needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in cardiac surgery.
- Experience with CABGs, Aortic/Mitral valve repairs/replacements, dissections, and LVADs.
- Experience with vascular/thoracic surgeries preferred.
- Current and valid PA or compact nursing license required at the time of submission.
- Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
