This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Room, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to ensure safety and comfort.
Key responsibilities include accurately documenting patient information, observing and recording physiological signs, following physician orders, collecting lab samples, adhering to infection control protocols, and performing admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred), current state RN licensure without sanctions, and at least 2 years of ER or comparable experience.
Required certifications are BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association; ENPC certification may substitute for PALS.
Additional duties encompass participating in quality assessments, attending staff meetings, and performing assigned tasks.
Proficiency in English communication is necessary. For Pennsylvania candidates, background clearances must be completed prior to employment.
