Summary
Represents Supplier Quality Assurance function to perform oversight and surveillance activity on AWPC Suppliers. Extensive travel required (about 70%), onsite presence required during initial training.
Assist Suppliers in flow down quality requirement interpretations and compliance to AS9100, FAA, and Customers' requirements. As well as, evaluating and accepting Supplier Quality Plans.
Interfaces with Suppliers to facilitate root cause, corrective actions and evaluates their effectiveness.
Manage the approved Suppliers list with respect to the Organization's strategy while interfacing with other internal functions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1
Continuously improve SQA processes and procedures and recommend changes to Management.

Coordinate FAA SCA supplier audits ensuring flow down of Leonardo requirements.

Maintain excellent communication channels within Leonardo supply chain for continued SQA performance
4
Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field required or equivalent combined experience.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Aerospace industry
- AS9100 supplier audits
- QMS knowledge
- Familiar with Project Management and Risk Assessment and Mitigation related to QMS

Training/Certification
- AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification required
- FAA Part 21 Certification preferred
- FAA Part 145 Certification preferred
- ASQ CQE/CQA preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
